Highway signs in Austria and Germany have international symbols, but they also have the word "Ausfahrt" written on them. This is the only fault of these countries when it comes to highways. Ausfahrt means "exit" in German, so wherever the road leads, the word is written. It can make you think for the first few kilometers, as if all the roads lead to a city or town called Ausfahrt.
It seems strange to me that the Germans built such a nice highway but didn't include signs that tell you where the exits go. It doesn't make sense to me why they would do this.
