This book is not suitable for everyone. It has an incorrect idea that God has only given the people of Papua New Guinea pigs as their only source of protein. The author, Jared Diamond, is trying to take control of the boron mines by making people believe in things like biology and anthropology, which are not important.
This book has some extra sections about places like Polynesia, Indonesia, and Kuntinesia that the writer is particularly interested in. These sections might be confusing if the reader isn't familiar with the area, like Kuntinesia which is south of Java Island. If the reader doesn't know about these places, they should skip those chapters before finishing the book.
Jared Diamond's book looks at why Europeans were the ones to discover America, while Americans did not discover Europe, and how diseases have impacted the progress of societies. It tries to understand the differences between cultures and societies by looking at the roots of these issues.
After reading this book, it is easier to see why the Americans were angry with Mesopotamian civilization and why they took things from Iraq without permission.
