Super Channel, which was called Kanal 7 at the time, was disturbed by some scenes in this movie, so it was broadcasted with some changes. They changed the image settings in some scenes and blurred out other scenes. This way, viewers never had to see a woman's buttocks, people kissing, and other morally questionable scenes throughout the movie.
In Kurt Vonnegut's short story "Dystopia," he uses objects instead of words to convey symbols, similar to George Orwell's 1984. The story is about the dangers of television and the idea of trying to turn a human into a robot by controlling their emotions. There is also a short film that is based on the story, but it does not capture the full atmosphere of the story.
In the dystopian story by Kurt Vonnegut, it is shown that the phrase "ignorance is bliss" can be very controversial. It is strange that people are all made to be the same, instead of trying to make them better. I also wondered what was being done for people who are not as intelligent, talented, or attractive as others.
In Welcome to the Monkey House, Kurt Vonnegut tells a powerful story that touches on themes of equality, nature, and how humans perceive the world. The movie adaptation of the book is just as impressive and does a great job of capturing the same ideas.
