talkan cookie

We are making cookies that are made with roasted chickpeas, olive oil, flour, powdered sugar and tahini. I want to make a lot of them and put them in a jar so I can have one with a cup of coffee every day, but they only last two days.

On my trip to Eskisehir, I ate a lot of something that tasted really good. I ate almost two kilograms of it on the fourth day. I tried it from different places, but the best was from Kurtulus Kuruyemis.

The other day at the grocery store, I saw something that looked like small caramel ice cream balls. I told myself that I should avoid sugar, but I ended up buying it anyway. When I got home, I opened it and ate it. It was chickpea powder that had been compressed. It had some sugar in it, but I didn't think it was too bad, so I ate one in the evening. I really miss baklava though.

If I ever visit Eskisehir, I plan to buy as much as I can carry. I have tried chickpea paste in bar-shaped packages and dried fruit from shops there before and I really enjoyed it. It's like a gift from God, so many delicious things are made from it. I'm so impressed that I'm tempted to buy a big box of cookies.
