Wire tongs is a way of saying that the part of a mechanical watch with springs is very thin and delicate, like it was made out of wire. This was common in older, cheaper watches. This part helps to keep the watch accurate by balancing the escape wheel and the hairspring.
After Genco's world of lies, the corner of Karakurt is like a movie that deals with complicated topics about penguins. However, the focus here is on a Genco-style character who has been writing a TV show script for the past few weeks.
