According to Plato, the woman mentioned in his dialogue called Parmenides (128a) is not Parmenides' lover. The word "filiai" used in the text means friendship or companionship. It was the young Socrates who said this, but Xeno thought that Parmenides could have been a lover. This should be understood in the context of the philosopher-rookie relationship of that time and a relationship of love/friendship in this sense.
